De-Stressing the Interview


Even though it’s hard to imagine, the interview is a two-way street: just as the boss-man/-woman is sizing you up for the job, you, too, are trying to figure out if this is the right place for you.
AND, even though you’re trying to “get in” to a good residency, the process is really and truly a “match”.
SO, the interview is as much about them learning about you as it is you learning about them (believe it!) This way of thinking also makes the interview a little less stressful. While you might—in reality—be begging for a job, you gotta remember that YOU are the commodity. YOU are what makes this process exist, and if you weren’t so damn “smaht,” they wouldn’t have invited you there in the FIRST place!
